However, while the Sheriff’s Office does not maintain a free online search tool, individuals can search for the county’s arrest records for free through the Portage County Clerk of Courts CourtView Portal. Users can access criminal case-related arrest records for free using the subject’s name, case or citation number, and case type as search criteria. Interested parties can also visit the Portage County Clerk of Courts Office and use Public Access Terminals to access arrest records through criminal case records or request a free inspection from the clerk’s office. The Portage County Sheriff’s Office and other local law enforcement agencies also allow free viewing of arrest records, but charge fees for copies of the documents.
